MEDICAL OUTREACH IN AFRICA
Over the years, we have aided several groups of young people, from City of David, in travelling to Zimbabwe and Ethiopia. The focus of these medical outreaches are the indigenous Jewish people living in the area. The Jewish people in Africa tend to be the poorest of the poor and they are marginalized by the societies in which they live.

We work in conjunction with Jewish Voice Ministries International (JVMI) to make this happen. JVMI organizes these amazing outreach programs that give medical care to an average of 13,000 people, over the course of 4.5 days per outreach.

JVMI generously provides a land scholarships to each of our youth that participate in these medical outreach programs. This scholarship covers about half the cost of the trip. The students are left to pay for their airfare and all of their required vaccinations. A course of vaccinations can cost as much as $900, for those who have no previous inoculations required for travel and are without supplemental medical insurance.

Donors like you have made a tremendous impact in covering the cost of the required inoculations. Many of the students would not be able to go on these life transforming trips, if they did not receive the extra help.

When our youth go on medical outreach trips, they get to experience what it is like to live without all the trappings of our Canadian lives. They get to be a part of a solution to a dire need in a very poor community, serving their Jewish brothers and sisters in need.

"The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." (Matthew 25:40)

Most importantly, they see with their own eyes the miracle working power of the Living God. The deaf hear, the blind see and the lame walk. It is truly a one of a kind experience that solidifies faith in a God who sees and hears. The Messianic Jewish Leadership of tomorrow is built through transformational experiences like these.

"The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor." (Matthew 11:5)

When you support our youth, who are participating in these medical outreach programs, you are directly developing each of these young people and giving them skills that they will need to walk in their God-given destinies. Each experience layers on top of the other, to create young people with vision and passion for their Risen King - Yeshua the Messiah!

Thank-you for investing in our future! As a member of the Body of Messiah, you are the hands and feet of Yeshua, as you help to restore health the poorest of the poor served in these medical outreaches.

Thousands of people line up daily for medical treatment. Many of them have travelled for days to get here.
The lady in the front of the picture was told by God that a group from Canada would come to help her community. She had no idea if Canada was a real place. She had never heard of it........... Then we showed up!
This is one of the many children that we cared for in Zhera (an onsite children's day care). Many of the parents are undergoing medical procedures and we ease their burden by caring for their little ones.
This school girl participated in our Zhera Program. She gave her life to Yeshua and then wanted a water immersion (mikveh), to confirm her new-found faith. The youth were hungry for the Living God!
